I was considering switching the rear discs on my 72 Chevelle SS to discs. Does anybody know where i could get the backing plates, calipers and rotors...what other cars would swap over, etc... The Baer Conversion kit looks pretty sweet, but it is a bit pricy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go pick up a copy of Streetrodder magazine. There are several brands of conversions advertized. All make kits for both 10 and 12 bolt rearends.

Or......
Find a Pont T/A or 80-85 Cad Seville with rear disks. The Cad has a 5 on 5 bolt circle, so you'll need to get the T/A rotors to work with your axles. ($40 at Kragen's Auto Parts)
This is all covered in Tech area.
