I was looking into buying a restored rolling frame for my 69 chevelle. The guy has it on Craigslist and it has been powdercoated and new bushings, suspension and so on. If i was to buy this frame, does anyone know if this will cause problems with DMV and will it affect registration.

Not sure about CA. But MDMVA wouldn't know where to even start looking for the frame vin... All they care about is the one on the dash...

I really don't think that would be an issue in any state. When I licensed my car, all I needed was a bill of sale. Down here in Alabama, it is not required to even have a title on any vehicle built before 1976.
