is there a difference between 70, 71 and 72 seat belts for a chevelle other than part numbers??

I could be wrong (its happened before) but I wouldn't think 68-72 would be different other than part #'s

Not sure about 68; 69 - 71 were the same other than date codes; but some time in 72 they changed. I think the phase-in of the new style belts happened at different times in different assembly plants during the 1972 production year.
