I just noticed that gives a super sleak and clean look I like it!

just my opinion of course but i think the earlier '60's cars look funky with a seat that's too tall. the late '60's & '70's seem to look OK though... just my opinion ya know.

it's all just a matter of taste etc ;)

FIRST... HOW MUCH CAN YOU SPEND ?
SECOND...NEW OR USED ?
I FOUND A SET OF FACTORY PORSCHE 911 SEATS ( RECARO'S) FOR MY 73 ELKY CHEEP, HAD THEM REDONE IN TAN COLOR, LOOKS AND FEELS GREAT.
DO A WEB SEARCH FOR FLOFIT , RECARO, OR SPORT SEATS.
ALSO CHECK EBAY FOR PRICES AND PICTURES. THERE'S A LOT OF COOL
SEATS THAT CAME IN A LOT OF CARS STOCK.

think real hard how you want your car to look when completed... i bought 2 sets of cheaper seats (Racing seats) off E-Bay and once i got them home i realized what cheap looking meant. i sold one set and the other set is still in my shop. i originally thought i'd just get them recovered and they'd be fine but they'd still look cheap even with nice upholstery.

the thoughts above about buying a used set and having recovered is good advice... the Corbeau's i bought were fairly expensive then i had some work done on them... i could have gotten out much cheaper by doing it as suggested above ;)

cash is always the bottom line isn't it... so keep that in mind ;)

Honda, Subaru and quite a few newer model imports have some nice comfy seats in them (imo) and can be picked up fairly inexpensively at a bone yard ;)

They are very comfortable. The ones I bought are for road racing as I do track day events and the seats that Chevelles came with, even the SS buckets, just won't keep you in place on the track. Your left leg gets very bruised from banging on the arm rest in the door.

The high backs are required for the track so while I agree that the low backs have a better look they won"t do the job I need done.

Cost; bone yards are a good place to go especially ones that have Porsches in them. Carrera's have seats similar to the ones I got.

Price? You don't want to know..... I bought mine new and had them reupholstered. Recarro sells the brackets to mount the seats in the car. Don't you just love a German company that builds stuff to fit Chevelles?
