Moderators - I don't know what section this post should go in - if it is in the wrong section I am sorry.

For a 1968 Chevelle I have 3 problems.

[1] Wiper switch works fine, I turn it the wipers work. However, if I turn on the washer-pump by pressing down, the washer pump gets struck on, and I have to jiggle the switch to fix it. So I am assuming its the switch correct? Okay assuming it is - I am very new to this - how do I take out the switch?

[2]I duno't know if this is a ground problem, it doesn't effect the dash, but when I place my key into the dash, put the key into AUX just before ignition, even with the dash lights off, a light right beside my clock lights up and then once the car is started, simply goes away. Light works fine at night as well. Any ideas or is this normal?

[3] My factory clock is dead, if I tap it, it works again, is there a place than can fix this, OR perhaps I can use a quarts replacement which they do sell. Any advice?

Thanks guys. I'll keep you guys posted on how things progress.

The washer switch I can tell for sure is not working correctly. When you push the washer switch, it creates a momentary ground, that allows the washer motor to engage and run for one cycle before the ground is broken again. Pull the wire connector for the washer and check the green wire for ground while pushing the washer switch. If it grounds and STAYS grounded until you jiggle it, then it is sticking and that is the problem. To remove the switch, I believe you pull the knob straight off, and unscrew the out bezel to release the switch. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

The light on your dash I can't help you with. But I believe there is a company that refurbishes clocks. I'll try to find the link and post it back here.

The light problem may simply be the Gen light coming on prior to starting. This is normal.
