How do I tell where the hole in the floorpan would go when installing an original automatic floor shifter in a '65?
The car was originally a 3 spd on the column, then someone converted it to a TH350 with a Quick Silver shifter.
I am converting to buckets and original console.
I think the hole they cut for the B&M shifter is too far forward to use with an original shifter/console setup.
I don't want to "swiss cheese" the floorpan trying to get it right the third time!
Any help with this would be appreciated.

Don,

I have a 54 that I installed the floor shifter. What I did was set the shifter base on the hump centered left to right then moved it back and forth till it fit as flat as possible. I will try to see if my factory manual has the measurements. Im pretty sure I have pictures of the shifter install somewhere I will have to look for them. Ill get back to you in an hour or so.
