Need some help here, I put one of those oil filter conversion kits on my 396 and did away with the canister, well first of all my oil presure went right to the top of my guage and stayed there. I took it for a quick spin and it died on me got it home checked the points they seemed fine pulled a plug and it was all fouled out so i changed all of them still nothing? The motor turns over great just seems like no spark. Could that oil kit have something to do with it. Any help would be great. :rolleyes:

If your oil pressure is at the top of the guage you have a restriction some where this is to much oil pressure and could be starving the rest of the engine of oil and lead to bearing failure fast!Fix this problem first then verify that you dont have spark.
