I agree. Repaint, restored parts = no longer a Survivor....
Very nice car but as with the "clone" word, It looks like the hot word now is "survivor".

Mike's above quote is the bottom line.

When you use the term "survivor" on a repainted, restored car, I assume that you may be BS-ing with other details as well. Even if you are not.

Deceptive.
It is shown as a very nice car, though.
Couldn't fix one near that nice for 20K...if as nice as shown.

Agreed Herbie. Just not sure the survivor tag line is needed? Why not focus on what it is and not what it isn't.

Oh well....

I guess it has "survived" and not ended up as parts or wrapped around a tree. ;)

Looks like a pretty nice driver - the ugly plug wires need to go, for starters. It'll be interesting to see what it goes for.

Not a Bloomington "Survivor" (trademark)
but a nice car that purports to have the original drive train and protect-O-plate. Seems to have survived in much nicer condition than most of its 'mates.

I'd bid on it, but I like '67s better!

I agree with Dave about the plug wires. Not the blue part but the fact that you see so many nice cars with sloppy engine bays. A cheep set of wire separators would make a huge difference. Looks like the rear quarter lower moldings are missing.

I bet I got more original parts on my 66 than that car has and I too have the "rare" bright blue interior .:D
A little work in the engine bay would help that car a lot and I think not having the original style shifter in the 66 console cars hurts the look more than any other model year.:(

Obviously, some people don't know what "survivor" means in this world, because based on his own words, this car is not a survivor.

Mike, I agree. I used to send people a message telling them the correct terminology and explain why their car isn't a Survivor.

After doing it too many times, I have grown tired of trying to educate all the people that refuse to learn.

I hear ya Tim.. best to educate our own.. right here at Team Chevelle.. that way hopefully nobody is swayed in the future when considering a purchase.. Buy the car for what it is.. but don't pay more becasue you are uneducated about the way it is described. The Fact Remains.. Survivors bring more money, and if some unsuspecting new to the hobby fella thinks a car like this is a Survivor.. he may just overpay.

That's all we can do.. not tearing the car apart... it looks nice enough...but just not a fan of the misleading terminolgy.
