Mods I am not selling here I am just asking if there is an interest if that is against forum rules please let me kow and I will remove the ad or you can, we are only trying to gauge interest, thank you.

Guys we are in the process of designing some custom fiberglass enclosures for our slim mount sub woofer that will mount on the side of the vehicle and they will be designed for the 64-67 A-body first (depending on the response the 68-72 will follow). What we would like to know if this is something that you would be interested in?

We have some criteria that we are going to maintain in the completion of this product as we realize that no one is offering this for the muscle car market and the designers at our company all drive muscle cars.

The enclosure is designed out of fiberglass and will mount on the side of the trunk and it will be a drop in design. This will take up less space than a conventional sub woofer enclosure due to the design. The finish will be raw so that you can cover or paint to your desire.

You will have the option to utilize our slim mount line sub woofer or you can utilize your own (not sure if it will fit as our driver is only 3.5 in deep) it will be available in a 10" or 12".

We have a few ideas regarding powered enclosure, non power options, we are also considering offering a 5 channel amplifier for a full system design.

We realize that it is very difficult to get the nice low end extension in these cars with out taking up a lot of room. Again this is just to gauge interest.

We have come to find out that these cars are becoming increasingly popular and we need start to catering to these vehicles.

Please if you have questions or suggestions or recommendations I will be more than happy to answer them.

Please post a picture of what you end of creating for the sub woofer.

Yes, a picture sure would help, at least a design rendering. Also, I would alos be interested in such an item that fits in the trunk under the package shelf/behind the rear seat.

I would like to see a rendering as well. I am at the stage in my car where I am looking into different options for my subs and radio....

What gauge power wire is required for the powered enclosure version? I haven't put a sub or amp in my car because I don't want to run a huge cable from the front battery to the rear of the car. I mostly listen to my engine anyway, but a reasonable sound system would be nice. I do have a 12 AWG fused power tap near the driver's side kick panel. Would that be adequate? As others have said, more details would be nice to know.

I would like to install a sound system in my '67 next winter in preparation for the 'round-the-country road trip my wife and I will be taking in 2010. I would like to install a sub along with the stereo. I will not do it if it looks out of place, though. What that means to me is that it would need to be as small as possible, and I would probably paint it with spatter paint or cover it with the same cloth as the trunk floor mat. It could not have rounded corners and "swoopy" edges (like the custom enclosures that the ricers often have made). It would have to blend in with the style of 64-67 Chevelles.

Need some idea on the approximate shape and size.

I like the idea of placement to the side. I've had stuff slide around in the trunk of put dents in the 1/4 panel, from the inside. Will there possibly be left and right enclosures, or are you thinking one side only?

As of now we will offer the one side enclosure, it will come to you unfinished and you could finish it any way you like, there will be no swoopy edges only a functional enclosure that would "blend" in with the rest of the trunk. Regarding size keep in mind the driver (sub) only needs .8 cubic feet of air!

The size wire dictates the amount of current being carried (think garden hose/fire engine hose) depending on how much power in this case a 4ga size wire would be sufficient enough. have you ever seen a vehicle that when the bass notes hit the head light dims? This is just one sign of a vehicle not having enough current being carried to the amplifier (again just 1 symptom of not enough current).
