I have a 69 chevelle with manual drum brakes. I bought a new lager master cylinder and booster. Do i need a new rod that gose from the master through the firewall? and if so where do I get this rod from?

A manual M/C will have a deep hole and a power M/C will have a shallow hole in it!

I just bought a 5/16" or 3/8"(??) x whatever length (I want to say fine thread) Grade-8 bolt and made my own. It should thread into the p/r "U" clevis along w/ a lock nut.

Hope this works out for you and if it does, just make sure the rounded p/r tip is well, round and smooth, is all.

PS., 1st Gen Car.. And my power M/C used in my "pdqCBB" 4-wheel disc setup manual application has a 1.25" dia. piston so I can hardly wait to see how it works....
