450HPChevelle Feb 19th, 09, 6:14 AM You don't see many in this color combo. Whats your opinion on this
awesome car?
Anyone familar with the owner?
Mr. Phelps bought my Red on Red LS-6 in 2004.

Don_Lightfoot Feb 19th, 09, 8:49 AM Brian, I assume you are referring to this car (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-Chevelle-chevelle-1969-chevelle-ss-convertible_W0QQitemZ250372658035QQcmdZViewItemQQp tZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item250372658035&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A3%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318). Yes, it is a pretty colour combination.
1badss396 Feb 19th, 09, 9:30 AM The bids are sure low on that car, but then again a bunch of incorrect things going on with that car. I always loved that combo on a convertible.
Vyscera Feb 19th, 09, 4:35 PM I have a 69 rag top SS tribute, its "hugger" orange with parchment interior, but running a nice 454. Looks damn near that one, minus the stripes, and on rally's.
Burnsamatic Feb 19th, 09, 5:13 PM Looks like the car sold for $65K. That's pretty good money for this economy.
1badss396 Feb 19th, 09, 5:50 PM Looks like the car sold for $65K. That's pretty good money for this economy.
Yea I would say so, when I first seen it the bids were at $40K and reserve still not met. Sure makes me feel better about my 69 vert.
Sure would like to see the winning bid leave a positive feedback for the zero feedback seller.

Me too!
450HPChevelle Feb 19th, 09, 5:56 PM Brian, I assume you are referring to this car (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-Chevelle-chevelle-1969-chevelle-ss-convertible_W0QQitemZ250372658035QQcmdZViewItemQQp tZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item250372658035&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A3%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318). Yes Don,
thats the car I was refering to. Sorry I forgot to post the link.
That car was only bid up to $44,000 last night. That car sold fast!
I asked if it had any documentation, the replied back and said no....
but the stampings looked authentic. Very nice car.
Don_Lightfoot Feb 19th, 09, 6:28 PM I am not really going to comment on things like correctness for which there may be some minor issues. It appears to be a quality car and I would think the buyer has inspected this first hand. Somebody sure stepped up to the plate to pay $65K. Here are some of my very general pros and cons on that price:
PROS:
- Mileage of 18K is really, really low (if accurate).
- Assuming it is of very high quality.
- Convertible
- Colour combination.
CONS:
- Automatic.
- Low HP engine.
Just a couple of cents from my opinion bank.
704EVER Feb 19th, 09, 6:58 PM Yea I would say so, when I first seen it the bids were at $40K and reserve still not met. Sure makes me feel better about my 69 vert.
I'll give ya 65.5 and a whole new pack a goats for that dusk blue car!!! l:)Deal???
Bill Pritchard Feb 19th, 09, 10:49 PM Since it's completely restored, whether or not it really has only 18K miles is kinda irrelevant. If someone truly paid $65K for it, that's all the money - and then some - for a car with no documentation
I like the color combo, too
1badss396 Feb 19th, 09, 11:09 PM Sure would like to see the winning bid leave a positive feedback for the zero feedback seller.I agree lets keep an eye out on that feedback:yes:
I'll give ya 65.5 and a whole new pack a goats for that dusk blue car!!! l:)Deal???Mike I will trade you 12 of my finest goats for your Blue L78:D Deal next weekend when I see you again:yes:
oldtimebaseballfan Feb 20th, 09, 9:45 AM Nice looking car. Too bad they didn't show the trim tag and engine stampings. The ad states it is a code 72 paint.
