Does anyone have any idea on where I can find information on decoding seatbelt numbers?
I also heard of someone using an Acid dye on seatbelts, I called some of the local palces around town and got know where. Have any of you heard of this????

Are you referring to the model number or the date and plant code?
Not sure what 'acid dye' is, but people have successfully used Rit dye on seat belts in the past.

First digit = week of manufacture
Letter Code = manufacturer ID
Last digits = year
Example F = June
Hope this helps
Also have heard if you are wanting to dye seat belts black that the black liquid shoe dye works great. Just make sure the belts are clean and dry before you start with the dye.
Good Luck

Thanks for the Info...I think I got it....Its Clear as Mud....
Do different MODELS mean they are for specfic cars? Such as:
Robins (This is a shoulder belt) Robins (Shoulder belt)
Model #3950 Model #3953
14-K-69 3-K-69
Irvin
Model #2900
16-A-69
Ok so if I got this right "K" is for Robins???
And "A" is for Irvin???
The 69 is the year......
The 3 and 14's are the weeks of manufactor?
Or does it matter just as long as the end number is the correct year?
Thanks,
Mark

Yes, different models have specific applications.
Ok so if I got this right
The 69 is the year......
The 3 and 14's are the weeks of manufactor?
"K" is for Robins???
And "A" is for Irvin???
To the best of my knowledge, the 'K' and 'A' represent only different manufacturing plants, but I do not know if they necessarily represent different manufacturers.
