My '66 ragtop has developed a new problem. It is a 283 with 2 barrel Rochester carb. After running for about 5-10 minutes it starts to pump/leak/pour gas from the idle vent. :mad: Naturally it starts to run very rough then dies. It will only restart with gas pedal to the floor( it is flooded of course). What is causing this? :confused: Float sticking? I asked in another post about changing out intake, carb and possibly cam for better performance. I was looking at the Edelbrock performer intake with 600 cfm carb, and cam to go with this combo. Stuck float get a rebuild kit and a float,those carbs are easy to do.Take your time and have fun.
