Got the '69 El Camino. Any quick tips of removing the cross member? I've already gotten it unbolted and slides back and forth with ease but for some reason I'm not able to get enough distance to pivot one side out. Any tips will help

Try jacking up the transmission. Remove the transmission mount to give yourself more room and lift one side of the crossmember then lower the other side.
