I am looking for any posible problems and solutions that i may be experiencing.

After Replacing...
all of the gaskets (non stick)

replacing the power valve

cleaned the entire carb

replaced the accel. pump diaphrams

adjusted the float levels

on the carbuerator I still noticed a hesitation when the sec. were applied.

Upon investigation i noticed that the sec. accelarator pump shot is very week, UNLESS, it is pumped. (All done with engine and ignition off) Also I may be experiencing signs of a blown out power valve, because the engine runs rich, with mixture screws adjusted.

I also should note that i have no idea where my timing is and the Pow. Valve may also be the wrong one. Please No yelling, this is my first carb job...I'm trying to learn, thats why I'm seeking advice

Try adjusting the pump arm, have someone hold the carb at wide open throttle, you should not be able to slide any more than a .015 feeler guage in between the pump arm and adjusting bolt.As for the power valve go 2" below your vacuum reading in gear, if it is manual trans go 2" below vacuum at idle!

Andrew,

I would take apart the power valve again to make sure you did not pinch the diaphram. It may also be that you have a defective diaphram. It may have a pin hole.

Regarding power valve adjustment, some manuals (aftermarket) instruct to adjust the power valve arm so that there is .015 play when at rest. They claim that if it is adjusted with .015 play at WOT, the power valves tend to drip with every little vibration of the arm.

I am not an expert... Just passing it on. Maybe someone has some specific knowledge.

Theo.

if the pump cam is adjusted right, you could try larger accel. pump discharge nozzles. I had to go up about 3 or 4 sizes on the primaries on my 750 to get rid of an off idle stumble, it just wasn't getting enough of a shot.

Andrew,
There should be a check ball or needle under the accelerator pump nozzle. If it is missing, it can cause the condition you are describing.

Hey Turbo> I have a 750 and having same off idle stumble. What was the size you ended up with on the shot, I am at a 37 right now? Did you stay with the 30cc or go to the 50cc acc pump? Thanks

I have the stock 30cc pump, I started with a #31
and ended up with a #37 squirterI have a torkerII
intake so its a little harder to get dialed in but it is perfect now with the #37
