What do you use to store and keep track of the small misc. hardware, parts, and pieces removed from your project? Pictures of storage systems would be nice.

When I take a car apart, I put all the smaller parts in ZipLoc bags, with labels, then store the bags in large plastic tubs, you can get at Home Depot/Lowes,etc. The bigger parts go into tubs, too, with labels. I get the type of tubs that you can stack. I have different tubs for various parts of the car. Like one for interior, one for engine parts, etc. Also bag all the various bolts, fasteners, and label them. You may not re-use them, but at least you know what they look like.

As you take it apart is a great time to make a parts needed list too.

I go out and buy the small disposable tupperware containers, I also get a few larger ones for engine parts (like lifters and such), that way you can put the lid on and keep everything clean..

I'm restoring a Firebird currently. (My daily driver is a 64ss) On each part removed, I bag the hardware in a ziplock, make notes on a stick it note, put it in the bag and attach the bag to the part the hardware secures with blue painters tape.
I have over 300 photos of the restoration in progress. It is IMPOSSIBLE to take enough photos of disassembly. This will be confirmed during reassembly so take all the photos you can. A digital camera will pay for itself 2 or 3 times during a single restoration project.
Good Luck keeping everything organized!

Another very important storage device for restoration: Digital Camera. I always use one during the whole process, I also like the fact that you can set up the date on it, and store it all on your computer.
