i'm trying to work a deal on this, were close on price, but still have a little ways to go. i figure some black walls and duals to get it started. maybe leave it close to stock and just enjoy it. it's pretty loaded, and i couldn't touch a chevelle for his asking price....

Beautiful car just like it is- (what's with the fresh blue paint on the oil pan--overspray??)
Personally---I like the whitewalls----adds a touch of elegance to the car.
(yep----I like whitewalls on everything)
Dual exhaust would be a plus-----but I would hang on to the original single (put it in your attic)
Could also use a front carpet----I see some discoloring near the console

Much as I dislike green paint on anything-----still a nice car.

I had a 68 with the 350/2bbl. I swapped on a 400/4bbl intake ad really woke it up. A friend's father has a 68 firebird with the 400/400. He did a little "warming up" and added a bigger cam. Looks totally stock but clicks off low 11"s driving to and from the track. Those 400 Poncho's have a lot of stock torque and great potential..

Bill - That is one very sweet car. I'm not usually much on green cars but I really like that one. If that was a Chevy, you'd be paying through your nose for that quality!

Bill, although that is a nice looking car in the pics, are you going to have someone inspect it before you commit 10k or something near that?

What he said above. The pic of the "original door tag" shows unusual dents to the left of it like from collision damage. It looks nice in the pics but still needs a close inspection. Many of us have been fooled by pictures....:(

Nice car, if it checks out.

I with Bryan. Green only belongs on trees and money...however, this is a very good looking car. I agree with Bryan to leave it as it is. These cars in original unmolested condition are very rare. Most have been cloned into GTO's. Go to a car show and count the number of GTO's vs lemans. If I remember my trivia correctly, the Luxury Lemans with a center console is unusual as well.
I also like the white walls. I'm restoring a 75 Firebird Esprit currently and will put the
3/4" whitewalls on it just like God and Pontiac intended it to have.

i have a freind who lives in bend. he's going to look it over for me. owner said the door didn't have any repair, but was honest in telling me that previous owner had backed into a pole, and there was a small amount of bondo in the drivers side quarter. the paint is fairly new, and had been stripped, and that's how he saw the bondo. he says rest of car is clean.

Nice Lemans,
Kinda like my '71 Lemans 2dr my grandma purchased new in 1971.
I bought it from her back in the '80s and it just turned 100K last year, I bought it with 88k.
350/350, ac,pdb,ps, licerin[deep blue] inside & out. 99 % original.
