I think it would look 10X better if it were stock. 59 Impalas were one of the best looking cars of that era and look great as they were.
A guy I worked for built a 59 and the body was completely stock, Red with the white side stripe - Red Gut - 350 / 700R4 and a complete air ride system with 17" TTII's - I told him out of all of the cars he has had (A lot of them) that was my favorite car.

Was the neon ground effects kit put on there in 59 also? 60 perhaps?
Maybe 61? Those bulbs last a long time...

I think I would get sea sick or something even riding in that car, the interior is HIDEOUS!
As for the rest of it it looks very George Barris like of the era.

It looks cool as a 1960s era show car but looks tacky today. Thats one of my favorite body style Impalas.
