I have a 67 chevelle that I'm getting ready to re-install the body on the suspension. It hase a small block 383....
heres my question, I plan on using a pro billet distributor and was wondering if it will clear the firewall once the body's on..... or should I modify the firewall?

Thanks for your time

Mine's a 67 with a 350 using a stock GM HEI ignition. I'm guessing it is fatter than the pro billet. I have no problems with firewall clearance. My problem is clearance between the intake runner and the heater hose fitting installed at the rear of the manifold. Makes timing adjustments fun. My other clearance problem is with the headers - one of the primaries on the drivers side has about .100" clearance for the lower control arm bracket - after I dimpled it about .200". Best advice is to check clearances before everything is painted.
