Just bought a new 1-piece timing chain cover and find that it high-centers on the cam pin. I am about to grind on the pin to shorten it and was wondering if there is another fix, or a best way to do this (engine is in the vehicle.
....and is this a common problem?
Thx in advance, JC

OK, tapped it with a hammer and it slid back for clearance...Glad I didn't put the grinder to it!
I take it by the lack of replies that this problem is either very rare, or the question was not intelligent enough to warrant a reply.
Is there anything a hammer can't fix?

Glad you got it fixed, I guess some topics
just are'nt exciting enough. I have had a few that did not draw a big response I guess we
need to liven them up a little.

Naked girl & 2 friends bent cam cover. lol
