In today's poor economic market how much is this worth?

Solid floors, some outside rust, automatic now & I think originally, 3.08 open 12 bolt, interior tired, NO engine. It's a project that hasn't ran for a few years. Thanks..........

I had a 66 Biscayne 2 dr post about a year ago and about never got rid of it at $16,000. had brand new paint, new interior, new motor and transmission, new wheels and tires, fresh restoration. it was a very nice car. I ended up trading it off to a guy here in town. http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb234/mystery_skater113/biscayne002-1.jpg

I have owned a couple of these myself. Very cool cars, not nearly as heavy as they appear. :noway:

I wouldn't take less than 5-6K if the frame was solid, but that's me. There is a market for these, it just seems to be much smaller than the Chevelle/Camaro market.

It seems that enough people (that I have talked to) want them, just not as there primary musclecar. :(

He is right that these are not the primary musclecar to buy but with the prices of Camaros and Chevelles going up, Full Size Cars like the Impalas, Bel Airs, Caprices, and Biscaynes, are becoming more popular, so I would agree that 5-6k would be a good price, but if it has rust, I say maybe 3 or 4k

The question of the ages....

"In today's poor economic market how much is this worth?"

Answer depends on if you're buying or selling.

$2500 if you're buying
$4500 if you're selling

Real value, somewhere in between.

I would agree with the 3K. That body style is a tough sell in that condition for more then that around here.
