ok this jsut started happening recently and my fuel filter is clean as can be, when ever i drive my car and accelerate good my car bogs down at 4k on the tach, almost liek it is runnin outta fuel but any range under 4k it runs perfect. and ideas?

What kind of pump? Might be either a dirty sock or you're sucking some air in some where..are you sure its a fuel problem and not a spark problem?

it's a stock replacement bought from autozone. and as far as fuel or spark, the way it feels is like it is running outta gas... stumblin

Any mechanical fuel pump I've had go out (and I've had MANY in the last 40 years!) have either quit suddenly or leaked. It sounds as though you have an ignition/timing problem. Are you running points? If so, what is the dwell angle? What is your timing set at? What kind of carb are you running? Check your plug wires, plug gaps and general condition of all plugs. Check dwell angle and timing.

i'm running a hei msd coil new pick, up 8 month old moudle,rotor and cap 8.8 accel wires. i'll pull the # 1 plug in a little while. o also i'm running a 750.
