Carbon on the backs of the intake valves. Gm top end cleaner or Sea Foam will help it alot.

do you have headers? Could be heat soak. starters don't like getting really hot, maybe put heat wrap on it.

Check the available voltage at the + terminal of the coil when the key is on and everything is up to temp and the engine is off and won't start. Heat causes resistance to voltage flow and it may be that the resistor wire has too much resistance when warm.

It won't show on the plugs, try it. It's like $6 and I promise you will be suprised. Follow the instructions for the down the carb method. I'm 90+% sure this is your problem.
