I had a look at this hood yesterday and the guy wanted $300 for it and I walked. I see he has now dropped the price to $225 Canadian. It does need work but it is an original hood. Is it worth 225 or is a guy better off with a Goodmark?
I also am thinking about selling a 12 bolt housing I have. It was in my car with the 4:10 gears and C clip eliminators and it is obvious why they are not recommended for street use. They leak. I am putting another rear end in and am thinking about selling the rear with the c-clip eliminators. The axle tubes have been cut for them so will no longer take a stock bearing. Any idea what it would be worth? No gears or axles.

I would do 250 tops for the hood if it is intact. I see some body filler though, i hope its not too bad..
As far as the 12 bolt housing, well i dont know what its worth but I would buy it for $200 bucks if i saw it and if it still has the main caps in place. actually let me know, wonder how much shipping is from canada.
btw where did the oil leak from? was it from between the bearing and axle flange or thru the actually bearing itself?

i think body filler on any hood is never good for the reason of heat and opening and closin the hood

Oil was leaking past the seals. Shipping would kill you Alfred.

sounds like you have to much oil in the diff. the axle tubes should not be full of oil.

Nope. Exactly to the bottom of the fill plug. Besides, the axle bearings gets lubricated on a stock rear by the oil in the axle tubes. Even if it was below the fill plug, the oil would slosh to the tubes when cornering. Everyone I talk to that knows rear ends ,(including these guys) www.iwerearendsonly , says C-clip eliminators are no good for street use.
