I have what I think is an original cowl air plenum off my chevelle that has been sitting in the garage for 30 years. Can someone tell me if there is a market for this air cleaner, and if so what it is worth? Thanks, Greg

Having seen his work and having purchased one of his first units for a 66 SS, I can tell you they are VERY NICE and accurate to detail of originals. I say this b/c it will and does affect the market price of what people are now willing to pay for an Original vs. what they would have paid and did pay prior to the repro. There was a time when an Orig. would always bring in the range of $3500 to $5000 depending on whether it was Original used or NOS and what condition it was in.

The repros are very nice and reasonable in price, so not many are willing to pay much more then what the repros are going for. That said, there are many out there like me, that like to have TRUE originality and will pay for it, no matter what the item.... so that said, I think my numbers from the past still apply but to a very limited population ar elooking to spend that kind of cash.

One has to remember, not everyone is willing to 1. cut a hole in their firewall. 2. spend that kind of cash for what is truly only a WOW Factor.. not true HP gain.. but that's another discussion entirely.

CP's are very cool and rare.. what are they worth.. the market is fickle, and worse right now in these economic times...but not a $1000.00 item, if that is offered, someone is lowballing you IMO.
