If I'm flooring the gas, say trying to get on the on-ramp or something to the expressway, and floor it until I can hit 65, at about 60mph I seem to bog or something. The pedal kind of feels like it's getting really stiff when the car bogs down, and if I try to let off a bit then give it gas again it hiccups a bit then seems to get back on track. A long time ago I took it to Aamco and the guy floored it like I never had, and said my fuel was cutting out, probably due to the float set low. I'm wondering if that's it or maybe a sticky accelerator pump or something? I'm not exactly sure how it works. The carb is a 2-bbl Rochester on top of a 350. Thanks.

Could be float level or could be fuel pump not keeping up. May be starting to go bad. May also have a fuel filter starting to restrict. May want to change the filter first, if still have problem
then check fuel pressure. If you can plumb a guage
in where you can see it, drive it untill problem
exists and see if pressure is still there. There
is still the matter of volume, do a volume check
too. not sure of the specs, but should be able to fill a 16ounce bottle 1/2 way in 15sec.
