well im having a problem with finding plugs for my car. i need header plugs, but when i went into work today to look for them i couldnt find any for my year, we carry accel and thats what i was lookin for but they dont make them, thats what the book said. would one of the other ones work. i found ones that look tha same as the plugs i used to use (r44t) but there about 1/8 longer, the part that goes in the motor. i just dont wanna risk it or my motor for that fact. thanks for the help on this.

The plugs you found are probally the extended tip design that is supposed to be a feature to keep the plug cleaner. Instead of r44t it would be r44ts. shouldn't pose any problems unless running a very high dome piston.

You might want to try the R45TS plugs by ACDelCO also.

lol you can run the extended tip in your motor with out worry........it will take a hell of a dome before you have to worry about clearence problems........there are alot of plug options just because the book says no part number dont mean squat....you have to think outside of the part numbers in the book when it comes to messing with other then stock parts...........

few years back i was looking for the shortest plugs so i could have more room with the headers and wires..........so i knew a fellow at the parts store who allowed me to roam thru there spark plugs to find what i was looking........i found a set....and it was some off the wall part number that i dont recall.

just remember to think outside of the box when it comes to finding parts for your ride.....just dont rely on computers to list what parts will work.......sometimes you have to get out there and going thru the parts by hand to you find the one that will work.
