Hey guys

I have a '71 Chevelle with a 76 truck motor in it (350). I am encountering a problem with i guess ignition, I'm not sure. When the driver lets of the gas, it will jerk back and forth until the clutch is depressed. The engine doesn't seem to detonate. It runs great other than that.

Any ideas??

Might look over all your motor mounts (trans mount too)

what if you have it in neutral and just rev the
engine? does it pop and carry on when the revs are comming back down.

it doesn't backfire or misfire or anything of that sort. The car just jerks back and forth. It gets worse as the car slows down and the RPM drops.

are you sure its not a clutch issue? Pressure plate or throwout bearing sticking?
