: 94 TA: spongy no pedal, with no air in lines.. possibly bad abs unit?

I cant seem to get a good pedal with my 94 ta.
I replaced the master cylinder a few months back due to leaking at the booster. I replaced it with a used one. Bench bled it properly, no air in it.
I installed it and went to bleed the brakes and found one of the rear bleeder screws were stripped. So I bled all 3 calipers and left the one go. (4 wheel disk).
Then every time I would go to hit the brakes I would need to give a quick pump of the brakes to get a decent pedal. If I didn’t, the pedal would go to the floor. Sometimes the brake light would come on.
So I ended up replacing the stripped bleeder screw yesterday.
I gravity bled the brakes. There was no air in the lines.
Then we bled the brakes by someone pumping and holding the pedal, with the vehicle off.
Pedal felt nice, but as I went down the road I hit the brakes and brake light came on and pedal went down real low again.

I am not sure if having the engine off and bleeding the brakes could cause the low pedal height, spongy feel. I normally have the engine running when I do bleed brakes.
Or if the ABS unit is bad, or is trapped with air. But every time I bled them there was al fluid, no air.
or could the master cylinder be bad?

Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks

You probably need an ABS bleed, you're gonna need a scan tool to do this. Do you know someone with one?
