i have a small problem i dont think that it is too bad but ne way i put on sum cheap flowtech headers on my car and the drivers side is super low the passenger side is purfact ride height. does ne one else with a 72 chevelle had this problem, or is my problem the cheap headers...lol  im not too worried untill it comes time to roll over a big speed bump! are there ne headers out there that are a lower profile, i was thinkin of gettin hooker, but i dont kno, i dont have too much money to kill at the time so ill have to make these work for a while. thanx again

Get used to it. My 70 sat too high in the front and still hit the headers on high speedbumps. I just dropped the front with 2" lowering springs and really have to watch where I drive. My headers are dynomax and the drivers side does hang down lower than the passenger side.
I think the only solution is stock exhaust manifolds or shorty headers.
I scraped my headers just the other day at the gas station when I drove over the tank refilling caps that are sticking up about 3" inches above the pavement.

its just a fact of life. my drivers side has filed itself down just enough to not hit as bad.

another problem that im running into is that the header its self is hitting on this bolt that holds the brake praportioner on? not to sure what it is called, ne way im thinkin bout relocating it but dont want to go threw the trouble of bending lines just for that. is there another way around this problem? if so id like to kno, and thanks in advance

Kevin,
Same problem here, only 1/4" clearance from the bolt head. You may need to "Ding" your header to keep it from rubbing.

well i have like negative 1/4 inch of room in mine. but i think i found a solution to this problem, i was lookin at it and i looks like there is enuff slack in the brake lines that i can take and move the brake pro. valve up about a inch and it will clear, ill have to make custom brackets for it but oh well. im gonna try this first cuz the whole idea of dining my headers doesnt sound good graemlins/sad.gif so im gonna go for this first. ill post a pic of what i do later to help ne one out later, it would be awsome if this works! graemlins/hurray.gif
