I bought a camino -69 recently without power steering. I've read a lot of threads here, but I still have som questions.
What parts do I need to convert my manual steering to a power steering?
Which models of cars do have a power steering system that bolts on to my car?
If there is a system that is better than the original and suits my car without any big modifications, please tell me.

It might help. You can also do a search for "steering jeep".

I believe you may also need a power steering pittman arm.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee box is a great way to go.
Aside from that, standard power steering pump and brackets are needed as are hoses.

Thanks for great answers.
I searched as you said "65 El Co" and found a lot of useful information. Now I know which box I need.
I've only seen threads where people who already had power steering changed to this box. This people used the originaly pitman arm from the original box. What pitman arm should I look for?
I also have another problem. The previous owner of my car changed the engine to a 265 v8 from -55 (I don't know why). What brackets and pump will fit my old engine?
In the threads I noticed that they where using the originaly hoses. What hoses should I look for? Will the hoses from the Jeep I'm taking the box from fit?
It's a lot of questions but i really hope you can help me. Thank you again!

Contact Dick at True Connections http://trueconnections.com/ for the brackets and pitman arm. The GC box has metric threads for the connections at the box which require adapters if you use stock hoses. Don't try to use the GC hoses. You will also need a new rag joint to connect to your steering column. I was trying to keep the cost down for you. I know that everything there is way more expensive. Was hoping that there were many of the jeeps imported to your country. Another possibility is to contact Chris at Power Steering Services http://www.powersteering.com/products/ He converts stock pumps to give the better steering ratio. Best to call him as he's not big on email. Hope you can stay up late to reach him during business hours.

An engine from a 55 - 57 Chevy does not have the provisions for the motor mounts needed to install in any Chevy after 58. Can you post the nmbers stamped on the block in front of the passenger side head, the casting number and casting date from the top edge on the rear of the block? If so we can help ID which engine you have.
