To make a long story short. I have a single lever faucet in a daycare bathroom (I don’t know make or model yet). Is there a way to limit how far the handle will go in either direction?. I would like to limit the travel to the hot water side so the kids don’t burn themselves (would like it to be luke warm). Although it is possible to turn the temp down on the hot water heater I cannot because hot water is needed elsewhere in the building
If I cant limit the lever is there an alternative? maybe something I can put inline??

Some brands are set up with a hot water limiting adjustment inside similar to whats discussed on this webpage.
At the very worst, you'd have to swap out faucets to one that has this adjustment.

You could just shut off the hot water supply for that faucet.

Thanks for the link, I hope these faucets have this little adjustment cog in them.
Im trying to avoid replacing the faucets because they are child size sinks and a real PIA to work on. They are stupid small and very close the wall with absolutely no room for any kind of access (pedestal sinks).
I have the hot water shut off now but DSHS requires there to be “hot”water
