Hello Team Chevelle,
I am having great difficulties and not to mention stress, in removing the vent window assembly in my '67. So far, I have removed all the visible bolts underneath the door panel and the bolts in the front of the door that connect to the assembly, but I can't pull it up. There is a spring under the vent window, do I have to remove it? Any input?

Did you remove the long screw that goes from the interior through the vent window? It would be directly below the vent window and looks like a trim screw. It is located above the chrome strip on the black (on my interior) painted top part of the door. If this isn't it, I can get my pictures out from the dissassembly and post some pictures.

i have removed that screw and still won't come. If you could post pictures, that would be great.

dont know if this will help but i will share. i took mine out also when i redid the car. on the front of the door and at the bottom of the door on the door panel side there are two adjustment bolts/studs that screw into the vent window assymbly and come through the door in front and side. there are 7/16" cap nuts that bolt the vent window to the door. however you must also remove the studs. these are usually rusted in and i had to spray my with penetrating(i love that word) oil graemlins/hurray.gif . these studs also have a fine groove cut in them to yyou can use a small screw driver to take them out. how many nuts and bolts did you remove from the front? i know of at least the cap nut mentioned and a hard to see 7/16" bolt that could be covered at the very top. hope that helps. let us know i will go look on my front of my 67 if need be. good luck.
