Ok, I looked on the forums for the best peformance spark plug wire set and it seemed that Taylor made the best one. I have a '66 with a 396 but it has been converted to an HEI. Taylor does not make a set for a 396 with HEI, because HEI wasn't around back then. I am looking for a performance wire set that has the correct lengths. I want the wires to look nice and neat. They do make a 454 set, but the summit guy said the lengths would be different, in some cases short. I know they make a universal set that I could cut, but looking for a premade set. Any help out there? Maybe a different brand or go with GM/delco? Should I go with black or blue? Looking for the "correct" look. Thanks

I used a set of Delcos for a chevy truck. It has to be like 75 and up..Try a set. Im running headers. If they dont work right take them back. Mine were lifetime ones.

I used taylor 8mm spiro pro universal 8cyl kit 135 degree boots that work well with headers on my 402. The pn is 73252 for red.
They are cut to fit. You get to install the HEI boot or the other type boot then crimp then crimp the terminal lube up the wire and slide the boot back down over the terminal. This part really isnt that bad. I think it took me about an hour. Do one at a time. I've never had a pre made kit that fit well and werent way too long, ever.
