I'm looking at buying a newer Malibu and was wondering if anyone here has one or has had one. If so what can I get some feedback on them? Thanks.

My two brothers both have one. One is a 6 cylinder and one a 4. Both like them get good mileage. My older brother bought his from Hertz, he had trouble with the cruise Control, took them awhile to fix it, had to end up taking it to the Chevy dealer to get it fixed. The other thing he does no like is the radio lite is not bright enought to read in the day time, bugs the crap out of him.Chevy says there is nothing they can do about it, that is as bright as it is.

We have an 07 with the 6 cyl. It's not a Cadillac or Lincoln but then I didn't pay for a Cadillac or Lincoln. We're really pleased with the car. The V6 get's very good milage if you don't push it hard. The V6 has great performance and will suck gas if you push it. Drive it nice and you'll get mid-20's combined. 30+ on the feeway pushing 80 with the AC on. No complaints, $21,000 and it has about every option available. It only has 15k miles on it but no problems so far.

About the only reoccuring problem I have seen in my shop is the wheel bearings going bad, and the brakes seem to wear out faster than similar cars. But drivetrain wise they are good, so is the fuel mileage even with the 3.5. They also have a bulletin about the steering column knocking on turns, the slip fit shaft needs a special grease to quiet things down that can be sprayed.
