Time to put the steering columm back in the car. The shaft the connects the rag joint to the column is original but the column itself is out of another 70.
The splined joint where the two meet is giving me a fit. It shaft that passes thru the column does not appear to be extending past the lower bearing far enough to insert the bolt the ties the two together. The bolt should pass thru the clamp and the slot cut perpendicular to the shaft.
Any thoughts?
