Need some help! I am putting the interior back in my 70 2dr ss. The console extension harness was missing so I got a new one,the door jamb switches were either disconnected or had damaged wiring so they have been re-connected/repaired and the dome lamp works as it should when the doors are closed/opened or when the headlamp rheostat is used. My problem is that the console harness remains hot at all time even with the doors shut and rheostat off. The harness runs up near the column to a 3 way connector with orange/white/gray wires,I see no refernce to any other swithches/relays etc...I wonder if I still have a problem somewhere else in the doorjamb switch circuit or have overlooked something else. I have ordered a wiring diagram book, but it won't arrive till Friday, any thoughts? Thanks for any ideas.

Sorry, think I just solved my problem through another post-white wire from doorjamb switches provides the ground for the lamp-if I am incorrect please let me know.

Correct. DOME/CTSY lighting is always hot. When a door is opened or the headlamp switched is turned to dome, supplys the ground. (basicly a switched grounded circuit)
