I live in Chino, CA (about 30 miles from San Bernardino) and am in need of a reliable machine shop. Any Team Chevelle members know of one or perhaps work at one? I have a 4 bolt 0010 block and a matched set of 041 heads I need to get some work done on. Also, (this is going to sound really pathetic) I have lived here for about 6 years (moved from Huntington Beach) and can find no one with an interest in older muscle cars. I really miss wrenching on cars with friends of the same interest and when I need help with my 68 Malibu the friends I do have suddenly disappear. So needless to say I cannot get much done, so with that said,is there any local clubs/meets out in this area or am I just S-O-L? Wow, thats sound s pathetic, its like "Will you play with me" but I figured this is the best place to ask....

Hi Rich, I live in Pomona and would be glad to lend a hand. Golden West Chevelles is in the area, based in Ontario. I don't have a number, though.
I suggest calling Pomona Valley Engine Rebuilder in Montclair (625-2222). Ask for Dave and tell him Pat sent you (he is a long time drag racer and previous Chevelle owner). He will tell you if his company can help you out. They do a lot of machine work for DIY builders. There are a number of high end builders/machinist in the area, too, so it depends on what you want.
BTW, if you are interested, I'll be putting a Transgo Stick Shift Kit in my 67 EC in the very near furture. Help and company are always welcome.

Ain't much of of a club joiner 'cause I'm always a day late. The local Chevelle and Camino club is fairly active. They meet down the 57 from you.
