Greetings,
I don't own a Chevelle but I have a 12 bolt from a 67 chevelle that the numbers on the axle tube are CX1024B center section casting is N3894939 . This decodes to be a 3.07 open carrier. I opened it up and it has what looks like a eaton type posi and 4.11 gearset. I am considering converting it to leaf spring mounts to fit my 1957 Chevrolet. Does the fact that it has non stock gears and carrier reduce its value significantly to somone needing this for a numbers matching Chevelle restoration ?. If not I may sell it rather than cut off the brackets and weld on perches.
Regards, Robert
