i removed my driveshaft off my 1970 chevelle ss and had it restored. now i can't remember does the long flanged side go to the rearend and the short end go to the trans or visa versa. anyone help

Let me explain this so that there is no confusion. On my 70 conv, the drive shaft has a larger diameter center section which makes up most of the length of the shaft. Each end is smaller in diameter. The end with the shortest section of small diameter is the end with transmission yoke.
