I'm having a problem with my 350 66 chevelle...I had been using it as my daily driver for several months until a couple of weeks ago this problem showed up. I'll be cruising down the road and the engine will suddenly sputter out and die. I'll coast over to the shoulder and park it...then try to start the car back up. All it does is turn over a couple of times...start for maybe half a second then die again. Eventually, it gets to the point where nothing happens when you turn the key. However, if you wait 10 or so minutes, the car will crank just fine and begin running...for about another 15 minutes and then sputters out once again. I thought at first I might have accidentally put some dirty gas in it...so I replaced the existing filter with a clear one...no dirt. Then I thought it might be electrical...so I replaced the distributor cap and the ignition coil. It ran fine for about two days and now it's acting up again...what gives?! graemlins/angry.gif
