Can anyone suggest a player or method to do this?

I hear Sony has a player for the old Sony 8mm video cassettes that you can capture to your computer hard drive and then burn to DVD.
Any body do this, or have a better way?

If you have something to play them on, and you have a mini DV camcorder, you can use the mini DV unit as an analog to digital converter between the 8mm player and your computer. Then use iMovie or something similar to put them on your computer. I did that with all my old VHS tapes.
