Ready to install a new gas tank. When installing new tank with new straps, what if anything is used between the tank and strips?

It has thin pieces of (stuff) almost like heavy felt paper.Also there are rubber blocks and more (stuff) on the top of the tank to keep it from squeaking. Check Ground Up, I think they sell a kit. Assuming it's the same as my 69!! Mike
