Being a '72 it would have a "W" in the vin.

I think less than 200. I could have bought one back in the 80's from the 2nd owner for $5000. It had been all redone. Duh, can you say stupid!!!! I couldn't sell my car in time, and someone from NH came down and gave him the $6500 he was asking. I knew him, and he was going to give it to me for 5k. It was white w/black stripes

I could have bought one back in the 80's Same here. Early 80's so you knew it was legit. Suburban Milwaukee. Medium blue w/ black stripes. Mint. My buddy knew the guy, but we both had '67 RS Camaros (SS350 & Ragtop) at the time. Coulda woulda shoulda.
