I am in the process of buying everything I need to get my seats redone. Can someone give me some information regarding seat springs? I am debating on replacing them as long as I'm doing foam and covers, I'm assuming it's a good idea? Also, how are the springs secured to the frame? Welded or some other type of hold down? I am going to order American Cushion foams, I understand they build the best foam. Any other ideas?
Thanks guys

I rebuilt both bucket seats in my 69. I got all 4 (2 seats/2 backs) from Ground-Up. Top quality springs. They fit well and were fairly easy to install. No welding. The springs fit into tabs on the seat frame. Only a good pair of plyers, and few 4 letter words were used. Well worth it in the end.

Unless your springs are broken or bent out of shape somehow, I don't see much reason to replace them.
My driver side was broken in a couple of spots, but the passenger side was fine.
I even used the original foam and they turned out great. Those Strato buckets are built! Had to be pretty expensive to make, lot's of hand labor there.
Legendary covers - great stuff!
