Just getting around to installing my front coil springs on a 66. I noticed one of my parts books diagrams it shows something that looks like a spacer/insulator for the front coil springs. However it doesn't list or show a part #. My AIM doesn't show this.

Is there suppose to be something at the top of the spring that fits between the spring and the frame?

Also the spring has the numbe 6402 stamped into the spring. Anyone know what that indicates. Thanks.
