Are there any other chevy models that interchange w/ 70' Chevelle hood hinges?:confused:

70 > 72 Chevelle are the same. Not sure about other Chevy's but I'm pretty sure the 70 > 72 Monte Carlo's used the same hinge. I believe 69 is the same minus the extended rear arm, the part that attaches to the hood. with the half circle cut into it. It doesn't affect the operation of the hinge. It was added as a safety feature. It's designed to catch the post on top of the cowl and stop the hood from going through the windshield in an accident. Maybe someone will chime in with other cars that use the same hinge. I know the Cutlass/442 is different.

The only ones I know of are 70-72 Chevelle, Monte Carlo, El Camino, and the 70 Impala. You can use the 69 Chevelle or Impala, as they have the same measurement that bolts to the hood, 14 1/2 inches, as you said, minus the forked safety. The springs have a different OD on the Chevelle and Impala. All Monte Carlo's had the SS 29 coil springs, because of the heavier hood, but not all Chevelle's or El Camino's
