I would be getting out right now if i took the 25 year sentence. LMAO Not really. But i just came upstairs from the garage after disscusing very loudly about the car projects #1 The Chevelle and #2 The 30 Ford coupe Rat Rod(chevy 283). After all this time she still doesnt get it. LMFAO!!!!!!!!! HAhahahahhahahahahahahhahaha :D

I've been with my wife since high school! I was a senior and she was a freshman lol :D Anyway, we've been together for a total of 12 years, and married for 6. She loves cars just as much as I do, we'd go to the street races and track together, and she even helped me work on my Chevelle lots of time! Heck, she helped me yank the motor out of my Chevelle, and was there helping me when I swapped out 2 motors and installed one in a truck in the same day! :) We've had LOTS of ups and downs, and came close to going our separate ways a few times, but we've managed to work thru our issues and have kept moving forward. It's been one helluva roller coaster ride, that's for sure!

It will be 17 years in June. Not bad for a 38 year old. Everyone thought we married too young. Heck, we have high school friends who have been married and divorced a few times. Also, our oldest child is 9. We WAITED for 7 years before having kids. That way we really got to know each other and spend our time together. Adding kids just kicks it up a notch. We plan on 50+ more years together.

I sometimes think to myself how i ended up so lucky...we dont have kids yet but deffintely want a couple, i mean hey whats cooler than 4 chevelles in the drive way:D...have fun getting everything ready for the wedding or what ever you are doing, and make sure that everything is the way that you both want it to be for that special day!!!!! Oh and dont forget....HAVE FUN:beers:

If I may quote the great Gene Simmons: "Marriage is an institution. You have to be committed.... If that dosent sond like a nut house, I don't know what does!!!"

I looked into the abiss (got engaged) back in the late 80's. Fortunately I figured out the &$@*% for what she was & got $&%# out! I found someone ALOT better (she's the best thing in my life) and we've been together for almost 18 years, but I've been scarred.

I'll admit - it does feel awkward introducing her as "my girlfriend" at my age though...

40 years this June.....smart alec daughter says to count it in decades now........does seem like a long time tho......like i've said here before, a good wife is like redoing a Chevelle.....you're never finished working on either, never satisfied with either, spend way too much money on both,
but in the end, wouldn't swap or trade em for anything.....good wife/nice Chevelle..........priceless:thumbsup:

Been happily married and going on 19 years. It has been a challenging 2 decades going through a tough job loss and a few years just getting by. Now I hope we are on the way up that way even though the economy is not right now.

We used to hit the street racing scene but after the kids came cooler head prevailed. The wife loves me being into the car thing, she says it keeps me in sight and keeps me from spending money on other things. She has an 83 Trans Am for her pride and joy. I sold her 69 Malibu to keep the house a few years ago.

Marriage is as good as you make it. If you want to sit around and bicker and argue and never let the little things go you won't stay married long. Above all don't say anything really bad to your wife as far as the "Bxxxx" word and such. That will come haunt you later in life trust me. I have seen others talk like that and they always end up split up. No matter how many apologies you make you can never take it back.

I'm married for 11 years this time. 9 the first. The only thing I have to say is for the single guys here if you don't want to get married. Be careful when you poke fun at your girlfriend because she might take you serious! :D if you know what I mean.
