I like the "twisted" look of the TII that's on there now because it's different, but was wondering if there would be a substantial performance gain with the A/G?
Thanks, George

Thanks, Georgew/o knowing what engine combo you have and how the car is driven it's hard to say.
having said that, the rpm air-gap is hard to beat, especially on the steet..

.060 over 402, 400-425 hp ballpark, 4 speed. Street driven, not looking to pick up tenths, any downside to A/G? TII has 1" spacer and Eddy 750 on it and has decent throttle response.

Hello, I say the Air Gap would be your best manifold to run. I have read some manifold tests on big block chevys from Hot Rod and Super Chevy and the best all round choice was the air gap as far as tourge and horsepower numbers it created on the dyno. But then again it depends what your combo is going to be used for. A victor style hi rise is a great manifold but mainly for drag strip and hi revs. The air gap performed nice from 1500 to 5500 and then started to fall off a bit.Do some research in the magazines like Hot Rod and Super Chevy and Chevy Hiperformance and your questions should be answered, take care and good luck.

It would behoove you greatly to swap manifolds in favor of the A/G and lose the open spacer in favor of a 4-hole tapered. The Eddy 750 will respond nicely to these changes and you'll notice a major improvement in your 'already good' throttle response

My source, formerly with Eddy for over 20 years, says "use the Torker II only if you have hood clearance issues." He says you'll be down 25 horses up top, 25 or more ft lbs torque down low. My Vette has the L-88 hood so I was able to run the Perf RPM intake.

There may be a sweet spot somewhere where the tuning of the T-II intake may shine....possibly better performance in the midrange with certain applications.
But you find out by experimenting with the combo. Give your engine what IT wants.....

I like the air gap. I put one on a 408 (396 +.060) and it ran well at low rpm and all the way to 7000.

I don't think the "twisted" intake you have on there now is the Torker II. It sounds like the original Torker manifold.

The original Torker was an okay manifold in its day and much better than the p.o.s. Torker II intake. You would be much better off using an RPM AirGap intake on your setup.
