Does anyone have Ideas and pictures of a Tunnel hump for a 65 Chevelle. My car had a Richmond 6 speed installed and The linkage is rubbing. The installer did not take out enough of the tunnel. I am replacing the carpet and want to modify the Tunnel. Most of the forums have this for 68's and higher. My tunnel is different. I will be re-installing the center console, even though it sets back 3 inches. :confused: confused, I want to do a nice job even if you cannot see it.

I had this same problem with my 65 ...one of the shifter rods was rubbing on the lower tunnel I cut an oval shaped hole and welded in a bubble you could prob get away with denting it
